Burks Oakley: The What, How, and Why of Podcasting

The Director of the University of Illinois Online, Associate VPAA Burks Oakley, presented on the UIS campus on Friday, Feburary 17. More than two dozen faculty and staff members attended his presentation on ways in which podcasting can be used in online classes. Featured in the presentation is his innnovative work in encouraging student podcasting in his section of the UIS class PAC 442 Internet and American Life.

Ray Schroeder: Blogs, Wikis, and Writely

On Friday, February 10, the Director of the Office of Technology-Enhanced Learning, Professor Emeritus Ray Schroeder, presented on three tools to encouarge interaction and collaboration in online classes. These were addressed in the context of Web 2.0 in higher education and online learning.
